What an incredible two days at Spark 2025! We’re still buzzing from the brilliant atmosphere, conversations, and fantastic feedback from everyone who attended this year’s conference. Just like every year, Spark25 brought together IT and ITSM professionals from across the world.
If you were looking for new insights, learning new concepts, that inspired feeling, or meeting new and familiar faces, Spark delivered all of this (and more! According to your feedback). From inspiring keynotes to thought-provoking panel discussions, every session seemed to provide something valuable.
“Spark 25 reminded us that in ITSM, it only takes one spark—an idea, a connection, a moment—to ignite real change. The fires are still burning, and the future looks seriously bright.“ Barry Corless, Director Consulting Expert.
Our speakers covered a range of topics, including AI and automation, IT leadership, mental health and wellbeing in ITSM, and XLAs and customer experience.

Here are some of your reflections from SDI Spark conference 2025
We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive feedback so far. Attendees told us they loved the practical sessions, the hands-on workshops, and the chance to connect with like-minded professionals. There were also plenty of moments to unwind, share ideas, and make new connections.
One of the most talked-about sessions at Spark 2025 was led by Josh Nelson, Director of Technical Experience at Power Design Inc. His down-to-earth approach and practical advice resonated with many attendees. As Barry Corless put it:
“One standout was Josh Nelson, Director of Technical Experience at Power Design Inc. Super engaging, very down-to-earth, and full of practical advice. He’s a strong advocate for the Service Desk Certification (SDC), which he credits as a significant catalyst for improving operations.”
Another highlight was Dan Turchin, CEO of PeopleReign, who captivated the audience with his session “AI and the Future of Work: What to Do When Your New Colleague’s a Bot.” Barry Corless summed up the impact of the talk:
“Drawing from insights in over 300 episodes of his ‘Future of Work’ podcast, Dan explored where AI is likely to thrive—and where it probably won’t. “

Another inspiring session was Matt Beran’s interview with Prashant Arora. Daniel Breson described it as “their AI journey emphasised business outcomes while actively integrating feedback from internal staff, particularly the Service Desk. “
Similarly, Barclay Rae’s session also resonated with many of you. As Daniel also noted: “Barclay Rae reminded us that ITSM can help us overcome today’s challenges, as we are all part of a digital service industry now. His advice to ask, “How can we make you successful?” when designing and improving services resonated deeply.”
Paul Jukes also shared his experience at Spark 2025, saying, “It was such a privilege to share my story —and I was greeted with such an amazing reception. The feedback afterwards was often quite emotional. My talk connected with many, and for this I am always grateful for the opportunity to help influence change in the conversation and approach to mental health / wellness.”
Let’s not forget about the hashtag #Spark25, which was flooded with insights, takeaways, and brilliant moments captured throughout the event, thanks to you!
