Transforming IT with Modern Service Management, Atomicwork and SDI Media

Vijay Rayapati, CEO, Atomicwork noticed that employee interactions with IT had remained unchanged for decades with IT service teams still relying on customer portals or emails for IT issue reporting. The experience for IT users and support agents was broken. To address this, Vijay, along with co-founders Kiran Darisi and Parsuram Vijayasankar, founded Atomicwork to modernize IT service management.

Atomicwork had built a product that their customers fell in love with. Their approach of bringing support to end users through their AI assistant ‘Atom’, that lived inside Microsoft Teams and Slack, was a huge hit. They also built robust automation workflows that would resolve repetitive mundane requests – like password reset and app provisioning – without involving support agents. Under the hood, IT teams got all the sophisticated capabilities they needed to run their operations. But Atomicwork needed to increase their brand awareness in the crowded ITSM space. So, they turned to SDI to help them amplify their thought leadership content focused on ‘AI in IT’.

 

The Challenge

 

Atomicwork had conducted a study on the state of AI in IT, aimed at helping IT leaders understand what their peers were doing around AI, so they could benchmark their own AI adoption.The result was a brilliant research report titled, “State of AI in IT, 2024” and the Atomicwork marketing team was looking for a way to amplify awareness of the report, gain wider global coverage and engagement, and ultimately increase landing page visits and conversions.

 

The Solution

 

SDI Media devised a 4-week digital marketing strategy which included the use of SDI’s LinkedIn page and group accompanied by our other social media channels. A blog article was published on the SDI website and promoted to the SDI community of 78,000 ITSM professionals globally through the monthly newsletter.

The SDI media team worked collaboratively with Atomicwork’s marketing team to ensure messaging and imagery across the whole campaign were on brand over the full four-week campaign.

The Results

 

The SDI website blog attracted over 700 visitors in 4 weeks, with over 9% of visits driven by the SDI community newsletter. Over the course of a month, four posts on the SDI LinkedIn company page attracted 2,470 organic impressions, 58 clicks, 61 reactions, 27 clicks and an average engagement rate of 4.4% (outperforming the average engagement rate of 2% according to Powermetrics). In addition, SDI’s LinkedIn group announcement was sent to the LinkedIn inboxes of over 28,000 ITSM professionals.
