Service Desk Institute™ (SDI) is the owner of the SDI professional standards and is responsible for managing and delivering the SDI courses.

APMG International® is responsible for accrediting the SDI course training providers and for the SDI syllabi, curriculum, courseware, and exams. Only accredited training organisations (including SDI) can deliver SDI courses and exams that are included in APMG International's SDI qualification scheme.
